Family Orchestra


This is a day for anyone who plays an instrument to come and make an orchestra for the day. Whether you are an adult who hasn’t played for 20 years, or a child who is just starting out, come along and experience playing in an orchestra! There will be music available to suit all ages and abilities, so bring the whole family and play alongside each other. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment.

The new ‘Family Orchestra’ will meet monthly on Sundays from 10am – 1pm from September 2018, therefore if you can’t make this day, don’t worry, just register your interest using the details below, and we will keep you informed of the monthly get-togethers!

NB This recital is definitely going ahead notwithstanding the football or the tennis.

A recital by the region’s popular teenager pianists, both currently studying at Chetham’s.
Proceeds in aid of the Rotary Clubs of Darlington and Northallerton. The two Clubs have jointly helped sponsor the boys, and also gave them both their first performing platform at their annual Young Musician competitions.
Programme includes: Ballade No.1 by Chopin, La Campanella by Liszt, Sonatine by Ravel, etc.

This is a 'no ticket' concert - donation requested at the door (£10 suggested), children free. Thank you.
